We are currently taking a break from our verse-by-verse study through the Gospel of Mark, in order to bolster up our understanding of what the Bible teaches about events that will take place in the future. The purpose of this topical series of teachings, is to provide a helpful overview of the doctrine of last things, so that we can better understand what Jesus teaches, when we get back to Mark chapter 13. Last Sunday, we moved onto the second broad category of eschatology, which we can call, “Comic Eschatology”, where we considered the central, overarching theme of the Bible, which is the Kingdom of God. In this week’s study, building on the subject of the kingdom of God, and the Biblical Covenants, by looking at God’s future plans for both Israel and the Church.
