We are coming to the 3rd part in our teaching series on the subject of “Biblical Conversion”. Having identified that God’s ultimate motivation in conversion in His glory, along with the necessity of the Holy Spirit’s role in leading up to conversion, next Sunday we come to man’s response in conversion. Is a response from man necessary for him to be converted, and if so, what is that response? What part does repentance have in a person to being converted? If salvation is by faith alone, isn’t a requirement for repentance a “works-based” gospel? What’s the difference between godly sorrow for sin that leads to salvation vs worldly sorrow that leads to death? How can we distinguish between faith and saving faith? These are the sorts of questions we will be providing answers for next Sunday.
