As we come to chapter 3 in our study through Philippians, we see a very transparent, and humble declaration by Paul. Though some may think his impressive background as a Pharisee, would have been a bonus to him when coming to Christ - Paul actually saw it as being of no value whatsoever. Paul's desire was to know Christ intimately, and he was prepared to see everything else in his life as secondary, to allow this to happen. With Christ as his motivation, Christ as his strength, and Christ as his goal, Paul sought Christ with everything he had, and without looking back. This passage will help us also to "press on" in Christ, and seek Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. If you can, read through the passage ahead of time, and meditate on this beautiful truths.
