Today, we will be continuing with our 3rd study in Hebrews chapter 11, which is sometimes known as “the faith hall of fame”.
At the end of chapter 10, the writer quoted a passage from Habakkuk 2:4, “the just shall live by faith”. And so what the writer to the Hebrews wants to demonstrate in chapter 11 is what faith looked like in the lives of many prominent people in the Old Testament. One of the things that becomes very evident as we study through chapter 11, is that throughout human history, the only way that people have been able to truly please God is by responding to Him in faith. Of course, the aim of the writer of Hebrews throughout this chapter is to encourage us to truly live by faith.
In our last study in Hebrews 11, we looked at how faith was outworked out in the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob & Joseph. This coming Sunday, we will continue by looking at the life of Moses & Moses’ parents.
